Renewal (BLS) Basic Life Support Certification for Healthcare Providers

The Renewal BLS Course trains participants to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED. BLS Students will receive an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Provider certification card (valid for 2 years) immediately upon successful completion of this class. This BLS license program is perfect for professional rescuers: nurses, EMTs, dental workers, doctor’s office staff, physical therapists and many other healthcare professions. This Renewal BLS course is also available online.

Non-healthcare providers are welcome to enroll in the BLS Provider class, or, can take one of our AHA courses designed for the lay-rescuer: Adult, Child, Infant CPR or Adult, Child, Infant CPR & First Aid class.

CE credits are issued to CA Dentists. Make sure you ask for them. No other professions receive CE Credits.
BLS Book Policy
The AHA requires students to bring the current BLS book to their CPR training class. If you purchase the book from us, you will pick it up on the day of your course. We do not ship the book and you cannot pick up the book prior to class.

AHA BLS Renewal Certification Classes with Save A Life CPR

Our BLS renewal courses are for healthcare professionals of all stripes and is accepted among California regulations for healthcare workers. Becoming BLS certified is the responsibility for anyone treating the public, and with periodic changes being made to the guidelines, timely renewal is also mandatory. This means you must renew your certification every two years. With locations servicing Los Angeles County and Orange County and the option to choose from in-person courses or blended online classes, there’s a BLS Certification Class for the way you learn best.

We Offer a Surefire BLS Renewal

Our BLS certification program also includes a recertification or BLS renewal certification for current BLS card holders, and can help anyone in the medical field including dentists and EMTs earn continuing education credits (CEU’s). American Heart Association courses, like the ones that Save A Life CPR CPR offers, qualify for CEUs.

We offer BLS renewal classes in two quick forms: our classroom based BLS course is designed for those already familiar with BLS and AED protocols. While the second form is a blended online course learning program that takes into account the often hectic schedules of medical professionals and medical students. In this course, students are given the greater portion of the instruction online. After completing the coursework through CPR distance-learning, students are simply asked to come in to our Los Angeles La Mirada office location for a short skills test/check. Once this is completed, students are issued their BLS certification eCard and may begin or continue their medical career in the same way.

Same Day Certification

Save A Life CPR provides same day digital & online certificates (eCards) for our graduates. Our American Heart Association eCards are extremely convenient allowing you to access your eCard certificates anywhere. Paying for replacement/copy certification cards is a thing of the past. Each eCard certificate includes a unique eCard code which allows employers to easily confirm your certificate is valid. Certified individuals as well as employers can visit the American Heart Association (AHA) Certificate Verification web page and enter the AHA eCard number found on the digital CPR Card to access up to date certificate and student information.
